The City of McAllen has a team dedicated to review all subdivision applications promptly.
The subdivision plat application and supporting documents are distributed to multi-disciplinary representatives which comprise the Development Review Team.
The Team meets weekly to review each submittal to determine if it meets the applicable codes. This process allows for a concurrent review of the plans in a timely manner. Revisions are returned to the developer and to the professional engineer for appropriate changes and resubmittal.
Note: If your Engineer has not submitted all required documentation prior to this review, staff will only be able to address those items submitted and your project will likely be delayed.
As a courtesy, the City of McAllen hosts a subdivision review meeting on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month for your developer and professional engineer to meet with and discuss your subdivision. You will be invited to attend these review meetings.
These reviews will prepare you for upcoming Board Approvals.
