Note: No building/structure shall be occupied without first obtaining a certificate of occupancy from the building official.
When the construction work is complete and the final inspections have been approved by all departments, the Building Official will issue a Certificate of Occupancy.
The Certificate of Occupancy indicates that your project is in compliance with the City's codes and ordinances and must be obtained prior to occupying the building. Please stop by the Building Permits and Inspections to receive the Certificate of Occupancy.
In some circumstances, a Temporary Occupancy agreement may be issued pending minor items awaiting completion. Please contact the Building Code Compliance Department for additional information on obtaining a Temporary Occupancy Certificate. A deposit may be required for a Temporary Occupancy Agreement.
